Travel Support

Since 2025, Vietnam has implemented significant visa policy reforms, creating maximum convenience for citizens from all countries and territories. Applying for an electronic visa (e-Visa) is now simpler and more efficient than ever, perfectly suited for the busy schedules of business travelers.

The e-Visa allows for a stay of up to 90 days, with single or multiple entry options to flexibly meet your business travel needs. The entire application process is conducted online, ensuring convenience and significant time savings.

What is the Vietnam e-Visa?

The Vietnam e-Visa is an official electronic travel authorization issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department. It allows you to enter Vietnam for purposes such as tourism, short-term business, or visiting relatives, without needing to visit an embassy or consulate. It is a fully online system that simplifies your entry process.

Who can apply for an e-Visa?

As of August 15, 2023, citizens of all countries and territories are eligible to apply for a Vietnam e-Visa. This includes passport holders from the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Australia, Canada, India, China, and many others.

Validity, Duration

  • Visa Validity: Up to 90 days. The 90-day period begins on the entry date specified in your application, not the date you actually arrive.

  • Entry Type: Single-entry or multiple-entry (based on your selection during the application).

  • Extension: You can extend your visa while in Vietnam, but this must be done through an authorized agent or an immigration office; it cannot be done online.

Application Process and Required Documents

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents You will need to have the following documents ready in digital format:

  • A 4x6cm portrait photo (white background, no glasses).

  • A scanned copy of your passport's personal information page.

  • Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months.

  • A credit or debit card for payment.

Step 2: Apply Online Visit the official Vietnam Immigration Portal to fill out the application form and upload your documents. Alternatively, you can contact a travel agency to assist you with the e-visa process.

Important Notes to Remember

  • Print Your e-Visa: Always carry a printed paper copy of your e-Visa PDF. You will need to present it during airline check-in and upon arrival in Vietnam.

  • Double-Check Your Information: Errors in your name, date of birth, or passport number can render your e-Visa invalid. Check all details carefully as soon as you receive the result. If there is a mistake, you must apply for a new visa and pay the fee again.

  • Port of Entry: Although you must declare an intended port of entry, the e-Visa system is often flexible, allowing entry through any of the other approved ports. However, to ensure a smooth journey, we recommend entering through your registered port.

  • Proof of Onward Travel: Immigration officers may ask to see your return ticket or a ticket to another country, as well as accommodation bookings. You should have these documents ready.

  • Not for Employment: The e-Visa is only for tourism, short-term business, and visiting relatives. To work, study, or reside long-term, you must apply for the appropriate visa type through a sponsoring entity in Vietnam.

We wish you a smooth visa application process and a wonderful trip to Vietnam!
